Celebration of International Museum Day

Nepal Museum Association (NMA) celebrated the International Museum Day on May 22, 2016 in Lalitpur, Nepal. The former Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tri Ratna Manandhar and acting UNESCO representative  to Nepal  jointly inaugurated the program, formally. The civil society, museum lovers, museum professionals, professors, journalists, heritage conservators were among the participants.

NMA Chairperson Dr. Prem Singh Basnyat, Senior Vice Chairperson Mr. Bijaya Shahi, Vice Chair Woman Mrs. Lakpa  Futi Sherpa, Secretary Mr.  Birendra Mahato and Treasurer   Mr. Suresh Lakhe presented their views . Also Prof. Dr. Shankar Thapa - Head of History Department TU, National Museum Director Mr. Darnal, museum expert Mr. Jal Krishna Shrestha, Vice Chancellor Dr. Manandhar, acting  UNESCO Representative  to Nepal also expressed their happiness on the occasion of the Museum Day.
